Well, six weeks have sped by -- and I did no new artwork and haven't made any new jewellery -- although I've had some very nice sales -- the joy of sales mitigated by losing my friend's tent two weeks ago at a market in a tornado-like monsoon that came up out of nowhere. Had to buy a new tent for myself, plus reimburse my friend for her loss. One step forward, two steps back -- ain't that the truth!?!?
But, the show must go on, and for once I'm ready to go. Just have to stick the labels on the drawings and wipe off the fingerprints and cobwebs tonight. Load the truck and deliver the drawings tomorrow morning to the gallery. Then Sunday at 3:00 at the end of the opening I will be able to breathe for the first time in weeks. This is Alan, btw, who I've drawn many times at the Glenhyrst coach house in Brantford.
It looks like I'll be starting a new market next Thursday afternoon in downtown Woodstock, weather permitting, of course, after which I will have to drive like the wind... well, maybe make that a gentle zephyr -- I already got one ticket this year, my first ever if you really must know -- to get to Brantford for Primal Roar being held at 73 Brant Ave (5:00-10:00). I think I'll be ready for a party.
